A beautiful summit hike in the Angeles National Forest. Parking requires an Adventure Pass (or Annual National Park Pass). The climb is moderate/difficult, which allows you enough energy to enjoy the scenery.
From the trailhead, we took the Icehouse Canyon Trail up for 1 mile until we hit the Chapman Trail junction on the left. We took the Chapman Trail up to the Icehouse Saddle (approximately 3.7 miles from the junction). The Chapman Trail and the Icehouse Canyon Trail join up around 0.6 miles to the Icehouse Saddle. The Icehouse Saddle is a common resting place. Everyone seemed to be stopping for a snack or meal. Then, we took the Three Tee’s trail up to Timber Mountain (0.9 miles). On the way down, we took the Icehouse Canyon Trail the entire way down.
