February and March flew by. Time to review how I did on my February and March goals.
Goal #1: Make the house a home.
Finish up some of those nagging projects, furnish, and clean up. The list of project is (and may always be) endless, but get it to a point where we are comfortable hosting people. Then, host a housewarming party.
Result: We finished a ton of home projects like getting much needed furniture (e.g. dining room chairs), creating a library, setting up an office/building a desk, putting pictures up on the walls and decorating the house. I’m sure we could have done more, but we made it a home, and we hosted our duplex housewarming party.
Goal #2: Run.
In preparation for the San Diego Half Marathon and the SoCal Ragnar, I need to be training at least four to five times a week. I can’t believe how easy it is to get out of running shape.
Result: San Diego Half Marathon and SoCal Ragnar completed! I joined a running club at work. I’ve reignited my love for running, and I even got a new pair of running shoes at Road Runner.
Goal #3: Read.
I enjoy reading, and I don’t do it enough. I’m currently reading Middlesex. I want to have read two more books by the end of March.
Result: I only finished Middlesex. I picked up BJ Novak’s book, One More Thing, at the local bookstore, but I didn’t finish any other book in Feb/March.
I’m enjoying setting goals, working to achieve them, and checking in later to see how I did. This whole process is helping me become more introspective.
