OUR CURRENT ADVENTURE: Renovating this 1920s duplex.
Today’s been all housework. Recently, any free time we’ve gotten has been dedicated to fixing up the house or unpacking. It’s been a l-o-n-g work in progress. When we moved in, we were still in the middle of renovating our bathroom upstairs, so we had to walk outside and go downstairs any time we needed to use the restroom. Also, somehow, our water heater, heater, and washing machine broke on the same weekend. And it happened to be what seemed like the only cold temperature Southern California has seen all year. With all modern conveniences gone, we nicknamed our home “Camp Kuo”. One day, we will look back on these days fondly. For now, it’s tons of housework on my mind.
