[day 169] the coffee experiment.

chastain and i decided to entertain ourselves with his ikea coffee press this afternoon. we started out with the intention of making the perfect french press coffee. we didn’t have any clean mugs left in the apartment, so we had to improvise. after pressing the coffee, we poured the hot coffee into a pot filled with ice to cool the coffee. then, in order to fix the coffee grounds problem, we thought it would be a good idea to filter the cooled coffee before it entered the cups. the whole process took forever, and i definitely don’t recommend using the filter.. as it dilutes the coffee. all in all, it was definitely an entertaining chemistry experiment.
