sarno was in town this afternoon for a job interview, so we met up for lunch at the farm at L.A. Live.
on the way over, sarno was commenting about how much he liked the ad on hotel figueroa. i’ve always been a fan of the ridiculously large ads on the walls of hotel figueroa. (you can see the other side of the hotel here from my last post)
the coolest part was that they were changing the ad. i was sad to learn that they no longer hand paint their wall advertisements anymore. i remember how cool it was to see them painting on such a large scale.
after lunch, we ordered s’mores for dessert. i really didn’t know what to expect, but when the plate came out, i was so impressed with the mini campfire, marshmallows on sticks, cinnamon cookies, and a legit hershey’s chocolate bar. the whole process of making the s’mores reminded me a little of the delicious melting pot dinner i had with kelvin. i love the interactive aspect of eating fondue and the s’mores dessert was just as fun!
