my little sister, marisa came up to la to visit me this weekend. i love that we still get to spend time with each other. it’s so easy to spend time with her since we seem to enjoy all the same things. i’ve really come to value all the time i get to spend with my family because i realized that i might not always be lucky enough to be just a drive away from them. <3

i don’t usually go to the orignal pantry at a normal hour. i was shocked to see the number of people waiting in line this morning.
and then i found the loop hole to the ridiculously long line. the counter line. we got in 10 minutes later.
i felt the need to document the ground right in front of the counter. after years of being open, the many layers of linoleum have worn down. it reminds me of a gobstopper.

later today my mom and grandma came to visit my apartment. my grandma is amazing. she is beautiful and energetic, and i can only hope to be half as wonderful as she is at her age. it’s too bad i didn’t get any pictures of the three generations together. hopefully i can go home one weekend and take some pictures.
