i feel like i need to explain my “obsession” with the edison on wednesday nights. the edison is normally this great lounge that pays tribute to its history as LA’s first private power plant, but on wednesday nights they have Incandescence: The Dark Side of Light, which is basically this cirque du soleil style circus show in the middle of the lounge. at random moments in the night, there could be acrobats hanging from a ribbon or a tall man on stilts walking through the crowd. it’s difficult to describe… and impossible to take pictures of (the security is intense).
i normally go to the edison with kristen, but last wednesday i went with mary and louise.

after the show ends, they open up the dance floor to everyone. last wednesday, the bartenders jumped up on the bar and started dancing.
since we can’t take any pictures during the show, mary and louise wanted to catch a picture with one of the performers after.
