tallgrass prairie national preserve at dawn
on our way to kansas, we stopped by columbia, mo to visit chelsea. i was so happy to get a chance to catch up with her. 🙂
in kansas, we visited the tallgrass prairie national preserve near strong city, kansas. it was nice to pay homage to the grassy prairies that once covered america. now only 4% of these prairies remain.
as we walked through the southwind nature trail, we caught sight of some beautiful wild flowers.
we returned later at night to get a sunset picture (pictured at the top). kelvin and i have become quite the sunset chasers.
