kelvin and i are driving back to california. our first stop was saint louis, mo. i was happy that the arch was even more impressive than i thought it was going to be. it reaches hundreds of feet above the city and can be seen from miles away. apparently you can take a tram to the top, but we didn’t get the opportunity to do that. instead, we drove across the mississippi river to east saint louis, IL to catch the saint louis skyline at sunset from the malcolm martin memorial park. we ended up meeting a few other friendly photographers trying to catch the same shot.
the first thing i noticed about saint louis is that everyone is so nice here! there were a few instances where we’ve been confused about something and without asking, someone immediately chimed in to help us.
i’m already happy we decided to head north instead of drive our usual route across the south, texas, and the southwest. this will give us a nice change of scenery.
