last week i officially became a volunteer at the georgia aquarium, and while i haven’t actually volunteered, i have managed to attend four training courses so far. i’m so fascinated with the animals at the georgia aquarium that i practically signed up for all the training courses to learn more about them.
last weekend was a relaxing weekend off from traveling. i decided to make use of my volunteer annual pass and spent three hours at the aquarium staring at the fish. i can’t stop being awed by the giant whale sharks in the ocean voyager exhibit. my favorite animals are definitely the sea otters, but they are too quick for me to get a nice picture of them. my only hope is that they will be able to catch them holding hands and sleeping like these cuties on youtube.
this weekend, kelvin and i also hosted a sleepover for cooper, marvin’s adorable yellow lab, at his apartment. we had lots of fun entertaining cooper. in the morning we walked him to piedmont park, where we were surprised to find a local farmer’s market. i’m so happy that there is such a close farmer’s market! it’s called the green market and is every saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
