i’m becoming a nomad.
as usual, i pushed my packing and moving to the very last second. in a complete time crunch, i basically threw all my clothes into boxes and moved home on the very last day i could. i move way too much.
last week i went on an impromptu camping/roommate house visiting trip with amy, trimaine and andy.
we spent our first night camping in big sur and then drove up the coast visiting beautiful beaches in big sur. i have a new appreciation for the beautiful pacific coast highway. i don’t think i’ll ever get over the coast line. we drove through the 17 mile drive in pebble beach and visited the monterey bay aquarium. that night we stayed at amy’s house in palo alto.
we spent the next day driving to yosemite and camped just outside of the park. the next morning, we hiked to the top of nevada falls in yosemite and drove to bishop for mule days. in the middle of the drive, we stopped at a mobil gas station that has a amazing gourmet deli called whoa nellie. when we got to bishop, we met up with abe and kristen, and we stayed at kristen’s house. we attended some awesome mule day activities and went to the buttermilks to explore. on sunday, we drove home to los angeles, and i began packing.
monday was my 21st birthday, but i spent most of the day packing and moving. i had a great time at the yard house in downtown brea with my friends from school and home. i got a new sleeping bag for my birthday, and i’m looking to get a backpacking backpack. i think all this camping and hiking is making me really want to spend more time outdoors. i can’t wait!
