free at last
since finishing finals, i’ve been bumming around los angeles. and i’ve never los angeles loved more.
amy and i took a walking/public transportation tour of LA yesterday. among many places, we visited the beautiful los angeles public library that i’ve just been dying to visit. it’s everything you would expect in an old library. i would love to go back and explore the rare books collection. it puts the yorba linda public library to complete shame.
in the getty gallery at the library, they had a wonderful collection of contemporary photographs of paris. it made me want to travel so badly. i recently added the “where i’ve been” application on facebook and discovered that i’ve only been to 8% of the world. how sad. i’m really hoping to travel more after college graduation.

there are these beautiful purple jacaranda trees in bloom all around los angeles. i absolutely love flowering trees. these are in front of our east asian library.

i miss art.
i recently came across the work of jessica gonacha. her paintings are absolutely beautiful. i love her quirky and imaginative work. i have once again been inspired to start doing art again. i really miss it.
