ochem got canceled today, and i decided to make full use of those three hours. i headed off to santa monica 3rd street to do some well deserved shopping.

i have to admit that i used to be pretty addicted to shopping. and i still get this nice satisfaction from getting something that i really like. but thankfully i no longer feel the need to buy everything i like.

i’ve been trying to make a conscious effort this year to really think about what i buy. it has really been more of an effort to simplify my life and reduce waste rather than save money, but that’s been a definite perk.

anyway, i had a good day. i definitely needed it.
