“For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. so treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. Happiness is a journey, not a destination…“

i saw this quote on a mug at the coffee bean at the grove, and it really caught my eye. it is so true that life often times seems like a long list of to-dos before the “real life” can actually begin. i’ve been feeling a lot like this at school. i keep telling myself that once school really begins, i will be a lot less busy. in reality though, this is my life. i am perpetually busy. i love being around people. that’s just how i am. this is my happiness.
