more and more i realize how often people have a personal agenda. and how often it can influence everyday decisions and interactions.

i hate how at work you have to be so emotionless. i feel like i can’t be true to myself. you can’t enjoy yourself too much because people might think that you aren’t working hard enough. you can’t complain because people might think that you are incapable.

you really have to be careful about what you say or write because it can come back and be used against you or the company later. there’s a certain type of personality that fits well with corporate life.

i guess you just really have to know how to sell yourself well.
