arnold beckman was an amazing man.
i can’t believe that i have been working at beckman for six weeks and only recently did i learn about the amout of inventions this man created over his lifetime. using his medical instruments, he has provided such a huge contribution to society and medical research. he was the inventor of the ph meter and the quartz spectrophotometer. beckman also made improvements on blood and urine testing devices for hospitals and research facilities and centrifuges for seperating different materials by densities within solutions.
i think that it is so cool that i’m working in the company founded by such a great inventor and philanthropist.

i start summer school tonight. this sucks.
i signed up to donate blood tomorrow at work. i better not chicken out. i hate needles, but i suppose saving someone’s life is worth that little poke.
