a letter from me.
a little more than a year ago, i wrote a letter to myself for an end of the year assignment in my ap lit class. within this past year, i’ve managed to completely forget about it, and to my surprise two days ago, i received a letter from my year ago self.
luckily, i haven’t drastically changed in this past year of college life at usc. but i’ve definitely grown in many ways. the people i listed as having great importance to me are still important to me, and my favorite moments of last year are still great times.
as much as i really enjoyed my high school years, i don’t feel as if i look back and wish i could live it all over again. it’s nicer instead to look back and not regret anything.
i like this idea of writing to myself and reading it a year later. it’s interesting to see the change in myself, and it’s a nice way to reflect on the past. i think i’m going to continue writing a letter to myself once a year.
