a summer birthday.
having a summer birthday is weird. especially if all your life it wasn’t a summer birthday. but it definitely makes everything more personal. i like that.
thank you everyone who wished me a happy birthday or celebrated with me.
facebook makes you feel super popular on your birthday. haha. no wonder people fake birthdays. obviously, everyone checks facebook like crazy. (me included.)
my best birthday present by far was my first paycheck. 🙂 yay!
i can’t believe that i still haven’t gone to the beach yet. and it doesn’t help that i have this obsession with bikinis. they’re so cute!
summer makes me want to read.
i just finished Little Children by Tom Perrotta and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon.
Little Children is a novel about suburban families with young children. it made me think about what really goes on behind the happy facade that suburbia gives. actually, it sort of reminded me of yorba linda. i hope that it isn’t really like that though.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime is an interesting insight into what it feels like to be autistic. sometimes it was frusterating though because i couldn’t understand why he would do certain things. i guess it shows you what life is like without emotion.
i want to re-read the harry potter series. i never finished the last two books (book 5 &6), but now i want to start from the beginning again.

the other day when i was at irvine spectrum with some loveboat kids, we went to wahoo’s and i ordered a fish taco. halfway through eating it i thought i was eating chicken, so i went and talked to someone who worked there and told them that they put chicken in my taco, not fish. the lady looked at me confused and was like “no, that’s what our fish looks like,” and so i picked at the fish and continued to eat it.
ten minutes later she comes back and was like “is everything okay?”
goodness. how embarrassing.
i swear it looked like chicken. it was all dry and not-rubio’s-fish-taco looking.
goodness. i was even the one that had gotten all excited and suggested wahoo’s. haha.
yeah. pretty much i’m retarded. and i like rubio’s 100 times better.
