the oasis.
i’m still ridiculously tired from prom. and it’s already monday.

it’s like an after prom hangover from all the energy spent that night.

but oh, this was all worth it. i had so much fun.

i loved seeing everyone all dressed up for prom. looking beautiful in those tuxes and gorgeous dresses.

our fifth dance together. holy moly.

although at first i was slightly disappointed that we were having our prom at a sports club, this was by far the best location for a dance that we’ve had in the past four years.

we had the longest picture session ever at lauren‘s house before the dance.

dinner was at justina‘s dad’s restaurant, il fornaio. it was pretty exciting when the roof of the room that we were in came off like a convertible top would.the lemonade was so good. it had a “zing” as matt put it.

there were two dance floors, one on the second floor and one on the roof. the weather was perfect for dancing on the roof top. but it was pretty freaky when the roof started shaking. i thought it was going to collapse.

at one point they nearly shut down the roof because there were too many people up there, and it was like a fifteen minute wait just to get back up top. everyone was pushing and shoving. chaos. (think titanic sinking) haha. but all that was worth it when we finally got up.

one of the vice principals was up on the roof being really anal about dress code and dancing, and a whole bunch of guys surrounded her and started freaking her. haha. good times.

the car rides in kristin‘s excursion were a thrill. jeff drove kristin, james, katie, matt, lauren, danny, and me. the best was our parking structure episodes where we constantly thought the top of the monster car was going to hit the roof. and scraping the antenna the whole way through the structure.

friend sightings! lotsa camera flashes and screaming. haha. i’m so happy i saw everyone. (more pictures later)

trampoline high: trampolines are unbelievably tempting.

after the dance the group ended up at lauren’s house. after awhile, danny and i made our way to arya‘s house, where we met up with jenn, steve, and jo.

shared laughter around a bonfire.
swimsuit digging.
a broken trampoline.
feet dipping in the spa.
adorable curly-tailed lab named pooh.
various late excuses.
long car ride home. (sorry jo!)

we stayed at arya’s talking until forever. it was the perfect conclusion to the night.
