today was a megan day.
i went to the mimi’s cafe “battle of the bands” at valencia high school with megan to watch the esperanza jazz I perform. i’ve never gone to a jazz festival before, but it ended up being pretty fun.

it was quite entertaining watching mr. nelson dance to the jazz music, and i enjoyed listening to a lot of my friends solo. good job guys!

we ate lots of mimi’s cafe food which was super delicious. (seconds on corn chowder and brownies!) and talked to a whole bunch of people. i even saw garrett!

we saw some other jazz bands play, and then we went home.

i love my pony.

later that night we went out to dinner to eat more delicious food at ruby’s. we wanted to go shopping so we went to main place, but it was already closed by the time we got there. (gr. it closes so early!) but megan had this brilliant idea to go to the block instead. we took pictures at a booth and we looked around at the stores. we got jamba juice at the end of the night and it took forever! by the time we got out, it was way past the curfew time of 10pm, and there was this huge blockade of security guards standing outside the stores. i was so scared that we were going to get carded.

i got cute brown and turquoise sandals from hollister that say “sunny days” on them with birds and clouds. 🙂 they remind me of the beach. and summertime. and how much i miss it.

the weather has been pretty schizophrenic lately.
