why is it so hard to write about myself?

it seems like the hardest thing to write about is myself. there’s nowhere to look on the internet for information or help, there’s nothing to look at for examples, and if there’s ever an expert on me, it’s me.

as the deadline for college applications gets closer, i’m getting more and more worried about the personal statements and essays. wow. i suck at writing. either that, or i have long term writer’s block. it didn’t used to be this hard to write essays. did it? i feel like i have to force it out of me. no matter what i do, how long i stare, think, brainstorm, i can’t write about me. i just can’t.

ah.

and oh man do i get distracted easily. AIM, myspace, blogger, xanga, the phone… and the list goes on.
