valentine’s day

so… yesterday was valentine’s day, right? but you know what’s weird. i just seriously didn’t care. it’s one of those holidays that i honestly think was created for companies like hallmark and hershey’s to over-promote and market so that their sales would continue to be boosted after the christmas holidays. don’t you agree? i mean, if it wasn’t for valentine’s day, why would people want to buy candy and ish after the holidays? after getting all fattened up from the excess of chocolate and other candies in their house.. buying MORE would be the last thing people would want to do. but having valentine’s day pretty much FORCES them to buy more.

maybe it’s just me. or maybe it’s just cause i’ve never had a boyfriend on valentine’s day. but sometimes i honestly think valentine’s day is way over commercialized. okay. watever.

so what did I do valentine’s day?

i spent it with sammie, of course. i think it’s one of those weird traditions that we have. date with sammie on valentine’s day. lol.

well actually, i started the day with SAT II classes, but that’s not important. i thought i was going to die if i stayed there any longer though. good thing i got out half an hour early. i was stuck in this one room for more than four hours. i hadn’t moved out of that chair or anything. just taking SAT II sample tests and going over them. over and over again. but i think these classes will honestly help me. and after class, my mom suggested that i only take IIC instead of taking BOTH IC and IIC classes. YAY! i’m so happy! haha. that made my day. i really hope that she goes through with it.

so my date with sammie. ate at California Pizza Kitchen. i LOVE that place. and the new California Club pizza is the BEST. so good! then we shopped around at the mall a little bit and then after we got sick of the place, we drove to baskin robins and ate super good strawberry cheesecake ice cream. that was really good too. with little pieces of cheesecake in the ice cream. yumm.. i seriously think that if i hang out with sammie too much, i’m going to get really fat cause we always eat the best food. haha.

aw. dan davis left me a pretty rose in front of my house. thanks dan 🙂

EDIT: you know what i just thought about? those little heart wafer things that everyone used to pass out on valentine’s day. despite thinking that they aren’t particularily good tasting or anything, i think that i want to go get some. just cause they are so fun to read. they seriously are. and i think they might be on sale now! yes! post-valentine’s-day candy sales.
