mona lisa smile
watched mona lisa smile yesterday night with megz and katie m. the movie was really inspiring. it reminded me very much of dead poet’s society (a really good movie by-the-way).
the movie got me thinking about how far women have come since the 1950’s. it’s hard for me to imagine how most educated women lived at that time, married at home reading while cleaning the house. i mean, many wives still do this today, but it surprised me that you a girl in the 1950s only goal was to get married and be a housewife. that going to college had only the sole purpose of making a women look better as a future wife.
cheaper by the dozen
took my little sister, marisa, to watch cheaper by the dozen tuesday night. movie wasn’t anything that great because it was too predictable. when we got home, i was relieved that i didn’t have a dozen siblings. sometimes a little peace and quiet is good. plus, imagine making dinner for a family of fourteen. o.O
but now i’m in love with tom welling. haha. 😛 or the character tom welling played in cheaper by the dozen. something like that. there’s something adorable about a guy who loves kids. 🙂
and hillary duff makes me sick.
