UCSD: visited
drove down to UCSD yesterday, and took a look around the campus. it shocked me how different these two collge campuses that i’ve visited have been.

UCSD
+ suburban
+ beautifully architectured
+ huge, wide open campus
+ contemporary/modern
+ lots of apartments on campus
+1.5 – 2 hours away

USC
+ very urban, in the heart of LA
+ beautiful
+ small, compact campus (makes everything walking distance though)
+ looks very east coast with all the brick buildings
+ no apartments on campus, only freshmen dorms
+ 1-1.5 hours away (without traffic)

in the end, i still couldn’t decide which one i liked better or anything. the two are obviously completely different. i wish i could make it into stanford, but i guess that’s a hopeless dream. 🙁 maybe i should just focus on my SATs for now. blah.
