teachers revisited
first quater done, looking back at the teachers i have this year. i feel as if my opinion for a lot of them has changed greatly since i first met them in september.
mr. mangan (band): i’ve always thought he was a cool teacher, but this year i’ve gotten to know him a lot better, and he’s just a funny and great guy to talk to. i love everything he does for the band, and seriously, without him, our band is pretty close to nothing.
mr. nelson (band): older, lazier, but not quite as pessimistic this year. he seems to like me because everytime i walk into the band room he smiles at me, but sometimes i wish he would just retire. besides paperwork, i don’t think he does much else for the band.
mrs. williams (language arts 3- H): my absent-minded language arts teacher that i’ve learned to love. her projects are amazingly creative and fun, and her class discussions are wonderful.
mr. curran (psych): boring. second period psychology is now my un-official study period because we do pretty close to nothing in that class. classes that don’t challenge me bore me to death. i figure between his mumbling and selling of candy to raise money for his precious baseball team, i might as well get something done. occassionally, we do watch some interesting videos, but most of them just creep me out. o_O
mrs. elwood (spanish 3-H): omg. wat a freaking joke. i could be a better teacher than her! we spend class listening to her talk about her husband and children, and occassionally when she decides to teach, she reads out of the spanish book. (something we could have easily done ourselves) i seriously hate spanish tho. i suck at memorizing vocab, and i just don’t particularly find any interest in this subject. so it’s settled. next year, i’m for sure not taking AP spanish. blah. no more mrs. elwood and her random PMSing. she’s so hot and cold. one second she’s super nice, next she’s bitching about everything we do.
mrs. amann (ap us): shockingly… my favorite class. she keeps me awake. and learning about US history is a million times more interesting than last years european history. her class is unbelievably hard, but somehow, someway… i still like it. she’s a really good teacher. it’s incredible. and occassionally, her random preaching about pre-marital sex and watching tv are interesting too. 😛
mr. ferencz (ap clac bc): sometimes his class is super boring, and i feel like he’s drained all my energy after i leave his class, but he’s a really good teacher. he’s one of those teachers that if you don’t get it, he’ll explain it to you over and over no matter how many times he’s already explained it. he’s super patient and nice. not being scared to ask questions in his class has helped my math grade so much. i think i was traumatized by mr. kersten freshmen year. my goodness…
mrs. sprang (ap chem): zzzzz… her tests are incredibly hard, and her lectures are incredibly boring, but she’s also really nice. o. and i hate titanium. it needs to go away.
