the beach
yesterday i went to a bonfire with barb, barb’s boy kyle, scott, meg, zelle, erich, steph, and andy. i love the beach… the waves, the sand, the bonding, the stars, the bonfire … it’s always worth the drive down to the beach. and somehow.. it never gets old. i’m going to miss the beach when summer ends. ::sob::
barb and i had tons of fun dodging waves in the water. we even made hand signals for going over or under the waves. good times.. fear of loosing our tops, stepping on sting rays, and getting run over by scott all made that day well worth it. x)
you know what’s really exciting though? yesterday scott and erich taught me how to throw and catch a frisbee. now THAT’s exciting. π anyway, i’ve decided that playing frisbee is actually really fun once you learn how to use it. they need to invent cool light up ones tho or something cause the sun started setting as we were playing and suddenly i couldn’t see the frisbee anymore. xP the frisbee would be flying right past me… and i couldn’t see a thing.
visiting L.A.
my mom, my little sis and i went up to visit my brother up in L.A. today. it seems so hard to drive in L.A. ::dies:: people are so.. pushy, and we saw two car accidents on the way home.
but anywhos. i got to check out my brother’s new studio apartment, and i loved it. i normally don’t like L.A. apartments just cause they scare me. (i’m really a suburban girl) but this one was nice. even though my brother told me that the building was old.. it was really, really pretty. then he illegally took us up to the roof where we had to climb through fire escapes and ladders because they closed off the roof because it was getting old. the view from the roof was gorgous, and the breeze was really nice. i’m in love. despite being smack in the middle of LA, it was so peaceful. i’ve never been on a roof before π and i thought i was going to die getting up there. (my fear of heights was kicking in)
anyway. after we checked out my brother’s apartment, we went out to eat with my bro and one of my mom’s friend’s family that has a son who is a freshman attending U.S.C.. isn’t it funny how everytime parents get together with their friends they always talk about which kid looks like which parent? it’s like it never gets old or something. even though they’ve for sure heard it at least twenty times already. strange. xP but i guess it is kind of interesting hearing about which kid looks like which parent. however, no one really ever has much to say about me. π they look at my brother and my sister and go o! your eyes are like your mom’s! and then they look at me and go is your dad tall? or you must look like your dad! -_- it isn’t like my mom’s short or anything. gr.. and sometimes i really do WISH i had my mommy’s big, sparkley eyes. but yeah. today my mom’s friend, who has never seen me before in my life (only my brother when he was a baby) went your smile is exactly like your mom’s! so sweet! like instantly after i smiled. atleast now i don’t feel like the random adopted kid anymore. π all i got to do is keep smiling. x)
on my way home i couldn’t help, but think about how much my brother is a city boy. π i can’t believe how different we are sometimes.
RAVE// i got to feed zelle’s fish today!
