great books

if you’re like me… and only have one book five of harry potter in your family, then you’ll understand what it’s like to fight over the book… and still not get it. 🙁 lol. my family practically left for florida the second we got the new harry potter book, and throughout the whole five hour plane ride… we fought over who would be able to read it. finally we came up with a plan. we would take turns reading it instead of having one person finish it completely before giving it to the next. it was kinda cool because this way we were able to discuss the book as we went along. except… i’m still at chapter seven. ::sigh:: my brother used the “i bought it” excuse.. while my sister just whinned. stoopid siblings 😛 so both of them finished harry potter already. my brother even lapped me the second time through the book. show off. gr… hehe. anyway. while waiting for the WONDERFUL harry potter book.. i decided to read some other books of my own. i re-read the giver by lois lowry for maybe the third or fourth time. i forgot how great that book is! it’s incredible. if you havn’t read it yet… what are u doing? read it! and if you already have.. read gathering blue by lois lowry. it is like the companion to the giver. so you’re summer reading list is now: the giver by lois lowry and gathering blue by lois lowry. both amazing books, which keep you amused while waiting for harry potter. 😉
