what? when was spring break?

i totally forgot that i was on spring break just a week ago. when did one week become a freaking YEAR? lol! SHEEZ! i don’t even remember what i did anymore.. so sad..

my swim coach tried to drown me!

after friday’s swim practice… we were working on swim starts and my starts seriously suck.. haha. so anyway, jay (my coach) comes up to me with this heavy duty bungee cord thing that he uses to close the fence with or something and then he goes *melody, this is for you* and i’m thinking wth am i gonna use that for? and he tells me to go on the starting block and he bounds my legs together at the ankles and then tells me to go to the edge so i can do a start. except i can’t move.. so with megan and court next to me, one on each side, i hop over to the edge of the block and do a swim start. after i enter the water.. i realize that i can’t tread water with my legs bound together like that.. (you know in captain hook when they made people walk the plank.. they like tied their legs together and their arms together.. so they would drown? lol..) so i move my arms around in attempts to stay afloat and my coach starts talking to me about how i can improve my start and then he suddenly realizes that i’m barely listening to him because i’m trying to stay alive… and he goes *somebody save her!* and then megan does this awesome lifeguard move into the water and saves me. 🙂 megan’s my hero! lol… and when i got bak on the pool deck.. jay goes *do it again* 😛

a night of dance and strings

friday night, after kaiser, katie and i went to connie’s dance performance @ the school’s theater. Good job everyone who worked, put in time, or performed in it! i really enjoyed the performance!

mock ap test

saturday morning.. i wake up at 6:30 to get to school at 7:30 am… dang. but why? because i chose to take the mock ap euro test. we were all pretty much ~.~ <~ sleepy & dead.. so anyway.. that test was so sad. i realize how DUMB i am.. and how i have to study like crazy.. even tho i don't know HOW to study. ::frustrated-ness::

afterwards tho.. robby, katie, connie, and i went to TGI Friday’s and we were freaky and all ordered shirley temples and potato skins.. and then when it came to dessert.. robby kept going. hmmm *potato skin obession* sounds good. and the freaky part is.. that it sounded right for the first second.. and then it hits you that something’s wrong. ::sigh:: robby robby.. anyway. we ended up ordering a BROWNIE obsession. and the waiter guy made fun of us for ordering all potato skins… doh!

jinal’s party

HAPPY SWEET 16 JINAL!

yesterday i spent some quality time with sneha and my kaiser boys james and martin @ jinal’s 16th birthday party in an indian restaurant called taal. i was so confused when i walked in because everyone was wearing traditional india clothing and i was trying to find jinal.. and then jinal, who was standing in front of me the whole time goes: *melody! you made it!* and i scream the loudest *OMG!!* because i didn’t even recognize her in her pretty india outfit! wow! jinal looked sooOoo.. pretty! 🙂 sexy jinal!! hehe. i felt soO out of place there because everyone was indian.. and i’m not. xP anyway. wow! jinal’s miss popular! there were so many people in this HUGE banquet room and we barely fit too! i met up with sneha, james, and martin and we talked and ate indian appetizers which were SPICY! ! i really don’t like spicy-ness in food.. so i was like.. *ahhH!! spicy!* it was funny because james was doing the same thing and sneha kept calling us whimps. blah. haha. later they showed a slide show of jinal’s life and then her dad gave a speech (aw.. it was cute!) and then jinal and her father had a father-daughter dance (like a wedding!) afterwards her little adorable brother (who’s gonna be a hottie when he grows up..) and his two friends performed a dance. it was so funny during the dance when sneha, who was trying to find possible prom dates @ jinal’s party, goes *there’s my prom date! all three of them!* lol. some of her friends gave speeches and others performed for jinal after that and then the dancing began. it was *interesting* dancing to traditional indian songs when you don’t understand a thing they are saying and all the indian girls around you look like they have their dances completely choreographed. xP anyway.. the dinner was after that (which was around 10:30-11-ish)and i discovered that even the food that wasn’t supposed to be spicy.. was spicy to me. lol. wow. 🙂 i must say.. i’ve never been to anything like that before. but it was fun!
