old magazines
this week i’ve been having a joyous time attempting to put stuff up on the walls of my room.. and i was going through old magazines so i could make a magazine ad collage… (those are always fun!) and i came across this article in the Feb. 2003 issue of CosmoGirl! called “the boyfriend test” it was taking about qualities that a boyfriend has to have:
* he has to be fun (“it’s like this: if he gets to be called your boyfriend, he should make your life enjoyable, not miserable!”)
* he’s got to be a friend to you (“the expression that boyfriends are “friends with benefits” isn’t just an expression. It’s the truth”)
* he can’t hog up your pie (“as important as he is to you, he shouldn’t take up so much time that you let other stuff in your life slide.”)
* he has to lift you up (“a good boyfriend encourages you to achieve your goals – even if he has nothing to do with them”)
“Having a boyfriend is a choice that’s just like apple picking: If there aren’t any good ones, you don’t have to take one home…. No need to waste your time on apples with worms.” – CosmoGirl! Feb. 2003

home depot
home depot is a lot more fun than you would expect it to be. i went there yesterday with my dad.. and i swear i was the only girl in the whole store.. except for maybe some wifes with their husbands. anyway.. i was waiting for my daddy as he tried to decide what to buy and i saw a whole bunch of different types of flourescent lights and it reminded me of mr. topping and the whole “poisonous gas” incident when a flourescent light broke in the band room.. and he wouldn’t let us back in there for a week because he was scared we’d all die fromt he “poisonous gas” HAHA.. wat a JOKE! anyway.. that place is FUN! i got paint samples of pretty colors and i got an awesome women’s bathroom sign that i put in my room!! o! i almost forgot! they also have awesome self-check out machines! where you scan stuff urself and put ur money into this machine.. you know how the library has self-check out machines.. where u scan ur book urself and it checks it out for you? .. well that’s what they have at home depot.. very exciting.. i know. lol
